Leashed dogs are welcome on the island’s trails, so if you’ve never taken your dog out to see the bison herds and the Great Salt Lake views from Buffalo Point or the Lakeside Loop, it’s one of the best dog-friendly day trips in the state — and it’s practically in your backyard.
This is also one of the fastest-growing cities in Northern Utah. Syracuse’s population has jumped more than 28% since 2020.
